Sysco LABS Unveils University Edition of ‘Project Summit’ Programme

Sysco LABS has expanded its successful engineer fast-track programme, ‘Project Summit’, to universities across Sri Lanka, aiming to equip engineering students with the necessary skills and knowledge to accelerate their careers. Originally conceived as an in-house career acceleration initiative, Project Summit has been designed to groom engineers into architects at an accelerated pace. To inaugurate the external launch of the programme, Sysco LABS introduced Project Summit to students from prominent institutions such as the University of Colombo School of Computing, University of Moratuwa Faculty of Information Technology, and Informatics Institute of Technology.

Selected students from the second year and above at these universities will have the opportunity to participate in the 6-month programme, during which they will receive mentorship from senior technical experts at Sysco LABS. The programme aims to enhance participants’ knowledge and prepare them for employment in the rapidly evolving tech industry. By bridging the gap between academia and industry, Project Summit seeks to empower aspiring engineers with practical skills and industry insights essential for success in their future careers.

Sysco LABS’ decision to extend Project Summit to universities underscores its commitment to fostering talent development and bridging the skills gap in Sri Lanka’s technology sector. Through this initiative, Sysco LABS aims to nurture the next generation of tech professionals and contribute to the growth and innovation of the country’s tech industry.
