The company is further modernizing the harvesting process through the introduction of digital scales and smart digital identity cards for harvest assistants. The recent ban on chemicals and fertilizers has significantly impacted the industry, and even with the ban lifted, high fertilizer prices pose a new hurdle. To ensure the long-term sustainability of the plantation sector, Fernando calls on the government to provide tax rebates on fuel, electricity, and equipment imports.
