Colombo (ECONOMYNEXT) – Gold prices in Sri Lanka remained steady as of April 28, 2025, offering both buyers and investors an updated snapshot of the market. The price of 22-carat gold stands at Rs. 254,650 for 8 grams (commonly referred to as one pawn), while a single gram of 22-carat gold can be purchased for Rs. 31,830.

Meanwhile, 24-carat gold continues to command a premium, with the price for 8 grams recorded at Rs. 277,750. A single gram of 24-carat gold is priced at Rs. 34,720.

For those interested in other purity levels, 21-carat gold is available at Rs. 30,380 per gram, with 8 grams priced at Rs. 243,050.

The price for a gold ounce in Sri Lanka is currently Rs. 984,155.00, reflecting steady demand and global market trends.
