The International Centre for Foreign Studies (ICFS) is gearing up to host the second installment of ‘Education Yalpanam’ on May 11th and 12th at the Jaffna Public Library, running from 9 am to 5 pm. The event aims to serve as a valuable resource for aspiring students in the Northern Province, offering insights into higher education opportunities abroad.
During this session, ICFS will shine a spotlight on study options available in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, and Malta. In a bid to make education accessible to all, ICFS has made it clear that there will be no entrance fees or consultation charges for attendees.
With the overarching goal of democratizing educational opportunities beyond the capital and its suburbs, ‘Education Yalpanam’ seeks to empower deserving students in the North to explore their academic prospects. Following the success of the first session held on March 30th and 31st, which focused on opportunities in Canada, the UK, and Germany for the September 2024 intake, this upcoming session promises an even broader array of choices. Attendees can expect insights into countries with no financial history requirements, IELTS waivers, scholarships, streamlined application processes, and unique opportunities such as traveling to the UK with dependents for research degrees. Malta, with its low guaranteed tuition fees and Schengen visa access, stands out as an attractive option facilitating travel throughout Europe. ICFS extends a warm invitation to all talented and qualified candidates in the North to seize this opportunity to engage with industry experts and craft their study abroad plans.
