National Savings Bank (NSB) has appointed Lasith Nanayakkara as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO) and IT Deputy General Manager, effective October 1. He succeeds Dr. Amal Illesinghe, who recently retired after more than 17 years of dedicated service to the bank.
With over 35 years of experience in the banking and finance sector, Nanayakkara previously held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer at Nations Trust Bank PLC, Sri Lanka. His extensive expertise in local and international banking, particularly in digital transformation and IT modernization, positions him to enhance NSB’s technological capabilities and improve customer experiences in a rapidly evolving digital banking landscape.
