AIA Insurance’s Higher Education Scholarships Programme marked its 29th year of recognizing top performers from each district in the Grade 5 scholarship examination. Since its inception in 1994, the program has been dedicated to supporting Sri Lanka’s brightest students, regardless of their affiliation with AIA.
The awards ceremony, graced by distinguished academic Professor Ajith De Alwis, provided invaluable insights to inspire the next generation of leaders. Professor De Alwis emphasized the importance of addressing global challenges like climate change while cultivating a purpose and passion for learning among scholarship winners.
Highlighting the transformative impact of the AIA Higher Education Scholarships, recipients expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided. With over 750 students qualifying for scholarships upon entering Advanced Level education and more than 550 benefiting from monthly bursaries, the program continues to pave the way for future leaders across various fields.
