Colombo – June 3, 2025 — Seylan Bank and DFCC Bank have each acquired a 25.01% stake in Alpha Fire Services PLC, marking a significant development in the Sri Lankan financial and corporate landscape. Both banks invested 94.9 million rupees each in the transaction.
Seylan Bank executed the purchase through Arcasia Investments and Trading (Pvt) Ltd, acquiring 9,492,610 shares at 10 rupees per share. DFCC Bank made a parallel acquisition via ATX Partners (Pvt) Ltd, also buying 9,492,610 shares at the same price.
According to disclosures made to the Colombo Stock Exchange, three directors of Alpha Fire Services collectively sold 22,153,538 shares, representing a 58% ownership stake in the company.
Additionally, J B J Holdings secured 3,149,850 shares, while 18,468 shares were picked up through open market trades.
Following the announcement, Alpha Fire Services shares saw an uptick, trading at 13.60 rupees shortly after the market opened on Tuesday.
