On 14th October, Samsung Sri Lanka and Singhagiri made waves in the tech world by launching their new flagship showroom at R.A. De Mel Mawatha in Colombo. The event marked a new chapter in the enduring 40-year partnership between the two industry leaders, with Singhagiri continuing its 52-year legacy of providing cutting-edge technology to Sri Lankan consumers.
The showroom showcases a wide range of Samsung’s latest products, alongside global brands like Hisense, Candy, HP, Lenovo, Realme, and Oppo. The grand opening featured high-profile attendees, including Singhagiri Ltd. directors Anusha Marasinghe, Nasser Majeed, Chathurika De Silva, and CEO Lasantha Alwis. Key figures from Samsung Sri Lanka, including Managing Director SangHwa Song and Director of Consumer Electronics Business Sabry Anwar, were also present.
Founded in 1972 by Sugathadasa Marasinghe, Singhagiri has established itself as a trusted name in Sri Lanka’s consumer electronics industry, especially after introducing Samsung to the local market in 1983. This new showroom elevates their mission, enabling customers to experience Samsung’s latest technology firsthand, with interactive displays, dedicated zones, and augmented reality experiences.
Singhagiri’s CEO Lasantha Alwis emphasized that the showroom is part of a larger effort to expand Samsung’s presence across the island. The new space will also offer after-sales support and premium customer service, enhancing the brand’s value proposition in Sri Lanka.
