Sri Lanka has granted approval to five companies to operate tea shops in the departure waiting area of Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport.
The approval follows a national competitive bidding process in which eight bidders participated, as noted in a cabinet statement.
The successful companies are:
- EuroScan Exports (Pvt) Limited
- English Tea Shop (UK) Limited
- Sunshine Consumer Lanka Limited
- UHE Exports (Pvt) Limited
- Ceylon Royal Teas (Pvt) Limited
The selection was based on recommendations from the Technical Evaluation Committee and the Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet.
