Sri Lankan Rupee Closes Steady at 293.00/20 to USD, Bond Yields Decline

Sri Lanka’s rupee remained stable, closing at 293.00/20 to the US dollar on Wednesday, unchanged from the previous day’s rate of 293.15/20, according to dealers. Meanwhile, bond yields saw a decline.

  • A bond maturing on 15.12.2026 closed at 10.30/50 percent, down from 10.40/60 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 15.12.2027 closed at 11.40/55 percent, down from 11.45/65 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 15.02.2028 closed at 11.70/80 percent, unchanged from 11.70/85 percent.
  • A bond maturing on 15.09.2029 closed at 11.95/12.05 percent, down from 12.00/20 percent.
