Sri Lankan Rupee Strengthens, Bonds Hold Steady Ahead of Treasury Auction

Sri Lanka’s rupee opened slightly stronger on Monday, trading at 293.50/55 against the US dollar, up from 293.60/70 on Friday, according to dealers. Bond yields remained stable, with the 15.12.2027 bond quoted at 11.50/60 percent, unchanged from Friday. Meanwhile, the yield on the bond maturing 15.03.2028 dropped slightly to 11.70/75 percent, down from 11.75/85 percent.
