IASL Renews Office Bearers for 2024/25 Term

The Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) has announced the reappointment of its office bearers for the upcoming year 2024/25, highlighting their dedication and expertise in advancing the insurance industry in the country. This reaffirms the commitment of these individuals towards steering the industry forward and addressing emerging challenges effectively.

The reappointment ceremony took place during the Annual General Meeting on March 27, followed by the appointment of sub-committee members during the IASL Executive Committee Meeting held on May 3, 2024. Chandana L. Aluthgama continues in his role as President, with Lasitha Wimalaratne as Vice President, Tanuj Edward as Secretary, and Nadika Opatha as Treasurer of IASL. J.M. Niyas retains the position of Secretary-General.

The Executive Committee, along with its subcommittees, is dedicated to prioritizing critical industry matters and responding proactively to emerging developments. These subcommittees, led by industry experts, focus on areas such as legal affairs, marketing and sales, IT, actuarial services, general insurance, HR, finance, and life insurance, ensuring a comprehensive approach to industry challenges and opportunities.

Under the leadership of these reappointed office bearers and the guidance of the Executive Committee and subcommittees, the IASL aims to continue its mission of fostering growth, innovation, and sustainability within the Sri Lankan insurance sector.
