Sri Lanka’s first-ever seven-star hotel project, Aviyana Private Chalets (Aviyana Ceylon), currently under development in the Udispattuwa area of Kandy, is now inviting investors to participate in its groundbreaking venture. With investments starting at Rs. 5 million, the project promises to significantly boost the country’s economy and tourism industry.
To raise awareness about the Aviyana Group of Hotels and this ambitious project, a sales promotion is being held daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until August 20 on the ground floor of Kandy City Centre.
The Aviyana Hotel Group, in collaboration with the Investment Promotion Ministry and the Tourism Ministry, aims to support local entrepreneurs and provide them with opportunities in the international market. The project, which has already completed about 70% of its construction, is designed to attract foreign tourists by offering unique experiences tailored to enhance their stay.
With a total investment of approximately Rs. 8 billion, the first phase of Aviyana is expected to open in November this year, promising to make a significant impact on Sri Lanka’s investment and tourism sectors, according to Aviyana Hotel Group Chairman/CEO Dr. Thisara Hewawasam.
Guests at Aviyana Ceylon will enjoy a natural environment rarely found in other hotels, with unique activities and facilities that maximise the enjoyment of the surroundings. These include meditation centres, a study centre for Buddhist philosophy, local ayurveda and yoga facilities, an organic farm, and adventure activities such as skydiving, mountain climbing, and white-water rafting. Additionally, helicopter travel facilities will be available for foreign tourists from the Katunayake and Ratmalana airports directly to the hotel.
