Prominent business leader and co-founder of Expolanka Holdings PLC, Hanif Yusuf, has been appointed as the Governor of the Western Province by Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Yusuf was sworn in alongside several other new provincial governors at a ceremony held yesterday.

- Tissa Kumarasiri Varnasuriya (North West Province)
- Wasantha Kumara Wimalasiri (North Central Province)

- Jayantha Lal Ratnasekara (Eastern Province)
- Champa Janaki Rajaratne (Sabaragamuwa Province)
- Kapila Jayasekara (Uva Province)
