The Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association (SLGJA), in partnership with the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA), is set to present the 31st edition of the FACETS Gem and Jewellery Show from 4 to 6 January 2025 at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.
FACETS 2025, a signature event in the gem and jewellery industry calendar, promises to kick off the new year with grandeur, bringing together global gemstone and jewellery traders, manufacturers, lapidaries, and collectors. Celebrating Sri Lanka’s rich legacy as a leading source of over 75 varieties of coloured gemstones, the event will spotlight the nation’s craftsmanship, blending tradition with modern innovation.
This year, the exhibition will showcase exceptional talent from key gemstone hubs, including Ratnapura, Elahara, Beruwela, Ehiliyagoda, Galle, Pelmadulla, Kahawatta, and Colombo. These entrepreneurs are eager to display Sri Lanka’s finest gems and jewellery, contributing to the industry’s goal of reaching $1 billion in exports. FACETS 2025 is designed as a platform for industry leaders to foster innovation, collaboration, and global partnerships, further cementing Sri Lanka’s position as a global gem and jewellery hub.
The event will feature a series of highlights, including the iconic Sapphire Night—a tribute to the Ceylon Sapphire—and the Women’s Power Breakfast, celebrating female leaders in the industry. Additional experiences include a Mine Tour that explores the local “mine-to-market” process, a visit to Port City Colombo, and the VIP Golf Tournament, adding a touch of prestige. The Story Corner, inspired by last year’s Sustainability Pavilion, will delve into responsible trade practices and the communities behind the industry.
FACETS Sri Lanka 2025 is poised to be a transformative experience, offering unparalleled networking and collaboration opportunities while promoting Sri Lanka’s cultural and industrial excellence. Visitors from around the globe are expected to join this celebration of beauty, diversity, and quality in Sri Lanka’s gemstone and jewellery sector.
