Kaspersky Appoints Technocity as Distributor to Boost B2C Presence in Sri Lanka and Maldives

Kaspersky, the global leader in cybersecurity and digital privacy solutions, has appointed Technocity as its exclusive B2C distributor in Sri Lanka and as the second B2C distributor in the Maldives. This partnership, announced during a special event at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo, aims to expand Kaspersky’s consumer market presence in both nations, where the demand for cybersecurity solutions is growing in response to increasing concerns over digital security.

Purshottam Bhatia, Head of Consumer Business for South Asia at Kaspersky, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting that the rise in online activities, including banking and digital financial services, makes robust cybersecurity measures critical for consumers. He noted that cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated, underscoring the need for advanced protection solutions.

Fahmy Ismail, Managing Director of Technocity, emphasized the significance of the partnership in enhancing the local cybersecurity landscape. He assured that Kaspersky’s world-class solutions, including Kaspersky Standard, Kaspersky Plus, and Kaspersky Premium, would be widely available to consumers in both countries.

In 2024, Kaspersky’s solutions blocked over 300,000 ransomware attacks, 302 million malware incidents, and 85 million unique malicious URLs, reinforcing its role in protecting digital assets and personal data.
