HNB Completes Acquisition of Acuity Partners’ Remaining Stake for Rs. 6.5 Billion

Hatton National Bank (HNB) has successfully acquired the remaining 50% stake in Acuity Partners Ltd. from DFCC Bank for Rs. 6.5 billion. The transaction, which received approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission, involved the purchase of 75.5 million shares.

Originally announced in June 2024, the deal was initially valued at Rs. 7 billion in September, but the two banks renegotiated terms in December, finalizing the agreement at a revised price.
