ComBank Unveils “TradeLink” – A Digital Trade Finance Platform for Importers and Exporters

Sri Lanka’s importers and exporters now have access to a cutting-edge digital platform with the launch of “ComBank TradeLink” by the Commercial Bank of Ceylon, the country’s largest private sector facilitator of international trade.

ComBank TradeLink is designed as a seamless, intuitive, and user-friendly digital front-end, providing end-to-end trade finance solutions while enhancing compliance, efficiency, and accessibility.

Importers can digitally manage services such as Import Letters of Credit, Import Collection Documents, Shipping Guarantees, Open Account Payments, and Advance Payments, while exporters benefit from Export Letters of Credit and Export Collection Documents, streamlining their transactions.

Key features of the platform include real-time status updates, automated notifications, multi-level authorisation workflows, document management tools, and personalised transaction templates to improve efficiency.

Commercial Bank Managing Director/CEO Sanath Manatunge highlighted that ComBank TradeLink is an evolution of the bank’s commitment to trade finance, following the successful launch of the ComBank Trade Club two years ago. This initiative further strengthens the bank’s role in supporting businesses of all sizes in global trade.
