As Vesak Poya approaches, Buddhists worldwide prepare to honor the Birth, Enlightenment, and Passing of the Buddha. Sri Lanka, steeped in devotion, adorns itself with radiant lanterns and fragrant flowers, but amidst these material expressions lies a deeper call to spiritual homage.
‘Enlight 2024’ transcends mere commemoration, offering a transformative journey echoing the Buddha’s teachings. Scheduled on May 17 at the BMICH, this program, conducted in English, invites attendees to delve into the essence of Prathipaththi Pooja—the spiritual homage that resonates with the teachings of the Buddha.
From 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, participants will engage in a series of enriching activities, including a Buddha Vandana, Dhamma sermon, guided meditation, and a Dhamma discussion. The sermon, led by Ven. Pothuhera Mahindasiri Thera, promises profound insights and spiritual nourishment.
Join us in ‘Enlight 2024’ as we embrace the true spirit of Vesak, transcending rituals to embark on a journey towards profound spiritual awakening.
