The Lotus Tower Management has organized an exhilarating Base Jumping event scheduled to take place over three days from May 12 to May 14. Drawing the attention of thrill-seekers and spectators alike, the event features thirty-five International Base Jumpers showcasing their daring skills, adding an electrifying atmosphere to the proceedings. Despite the intense excitement, the event also experienced a minor setback when a US national sustained slight injuries during the jump.
Among the participants were Avery Badenhop (61) and his daughter Alexandra Badenhop (34) from the United States, who captivated the audience with their impressive base jumping skills. With Avery boasting an impressive 31 years of base jumping experience and 43 years of skydiving under his belt, and Alexandra contributing her three years of base jumping expertise, the father-daughter duo brought a wealth of experience to the event. Against the backdrop of the Lotus Tower, standing tall at a height of 351.5 meters, their performances added to the spectacle of the occasion, highlighting the tower’s status as the tallest in South Asia.
Despite the adrenaline-fueled nature of the event, safety remains a top priority for organizers, ensuring that proper precautions are in place to minimize risks for participants. The presence of international base jumpers not only adds to the excitement but also reflects the event’s global appeal, attracting enthusiasts from around the world to showcase their skills against the iconic backdrop of the Lotus Tower. As the event continues to unfold over the three-day period, spectators can expect to witness more breathtaking jumps and impressive feats of athleticism, further cementing the Lotus Tower Base Jumping event as a highlight on the city’s calendar.
