Home Lands breaks ground on Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo luxury project

Home Lands Group officially commenced construction of Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo with a ceremonial groundbreaking at the project’s construction site in the Central Park District of Port City Colombo. The event brought together government officials, investors, business leaders, stakeholders and members of the media to celebrate a significant milestone for both the company and Sri Lanka’s property sector.

The day’s proceedings began with religious blessings, followed by the laying of the foundation stone and the ceremonial commencement of construction in accordance with auspicious times. The official groundbreaking was conducted by distinguished guests alongside the Chairman and management of Home Lands Group, symbolising the start of a landmark development expected to reshape the country’s luxury residential landscape.

The twin-tower development is positioned as an ultra-luxury residential destination overlooking more than 40 acres of landscaped parkland within the Central Park District of Port City Colombo. Inspired by an internationally recognised luxury lifestyle brand, the project is designed to establish a new benchmark for premium urban living while combining modern architecture with extensive green spaces, scenic waterways and landscaped gardens.

The development will feature a range of luxury residences, including deluxe apartments, sky villas, penthouses and Emerald Mansions. Residents will also have access to a comprehensive selection of world-class lifestyle amenities designed to offer a premium living experience in one of Sri Lanka’s most prestigious new urban developments.

The groundbreaking follows a period of strong momentum for the company. Earlier this month, Home Lands hosted the Grand Launch Weekend of Central Park Boulevard, described as Sri Lanka’s largest real estate launch event. The three-day programme attracted investors, prospective homeowners and industry stakeholders from both Sri Lanka and overseas.

The company also recently opened the Central Park Boulevard Sales Gallery at Port City Colombo, providing potential buyers with an immersive preview of the project. According to Home Lands, the strong market response reflects growing investor confidence in both the development and the long-term potential of Sri Lanka real estate.

Construction of Central Park Boulevard is scheduled for completion within 40 months. Home Lands said the timeline demonstrates the company’s capabilities as a fully integrated property developer with extensive experience in delivering large-scale residential projects on schedule.

To date, the developer has completed more than 3,750 homes across Sri Lanka and has built a reputation for delivering projects that emphasise quality, innovation and customer satisfaction. The company currently has more than 2,200 residential units under construction, while a further 500 units are expected to be completed within the next six months.

Home Lands operates as a fully integrated group comprising 14 companies, including its own construction arm, Heyraa Construction, which holds the highest CS2 grading from the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA). The group provides end-to-end services spanning property development, construction, property management and lifestyle solutions.

The company has also expanded its international presence with offices in Australia, Dubai and London, serving both domestic and overseas investors interested in Sri Lanka real estate opportunities.

Home Lands has received several industry recognitions, including the Best Developer – Sri Lanka title at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards for three consecutive years. In 2025, it also became the country’s only real estate company to receive Superbrands status.

With construction now officially underway, Home Lands breaks ground on Central Park Boulevard Port City Colombo at a time when the country’s premium property market continues to attract both local and international investor interest. The development is expected to further strengthen Port City Colombo’s position as an emerging destination for luxury residential and investment opportunities in the region.
