President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Duminda Hulangamuwa, Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), and Professor Dr. Anil J. Fernando from Sri Jayewardenepura University as Senior Consultants of Economic Affairs. This appointment, effective September 24, 2024, is honorary in nature and aims to provide expert advice on economic and financial matters.
Duminda Hulangamuwa, who also serves as the Country Managing Partner for EY Sri Lanka & Maldives, is a distinguished figure in Sri Lanka’s business community, boasting over 30 years of industry experience. He is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), and he holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.
Professor Dr. Anil J. Fernando is an esteemed academic affiliated with the Department of Accounting at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He possesses a Doctorate of Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and a Master of Science in Finance from ESCP-EAP European Business School in France.
