Jetstar Asia Launches Direct Singapore-Colombo Flights

Jetstar Asia, a majority Singapore-held and based airline, has officially launched direct flights between Singapore and Colombo. The carrier is now the only low-cost airline operating on this route. Jetstar has partnered with Hayleys Advantis in Sri Lanka as its General Sales Agent to streamline operations.

Shano Sabar, Deputy Managing Director of Hayleys Advantis, emphasized the significance of the new service, stating:
“The new cruise provided by Jetstar will offer enhanced access to markets across its network through seamless cargo service. This will facilitate our exporters in reaching customers more efficiently and reliably, opening up new trade opportunities for Sri Lankan businesses and fostering economic growth across key sectors.”

Jetstar Asia will operate five weekly flights on this route, offering both evening and morning departures:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday: Flight 3K331 departs Singapore at 9:00 PM, arriving in Colombo at 10:30 PM. The return flight leaves Colombo at 11:30 PM, landing in Singapore at 6:15 AM the following day.
  • Thursday and Sunday: Flight 3K333 departs Singapore at 8:55 AM, arriving in Colombo at 10:25 AM. The return flight departs Colombo at 11:25 AM and lands in Singapore at 6:00 PM.

This new service will add over 90,000 low-fare seats annually, providing travelers from Singapore and across the region with a fresh destination option. It is also expected to bring thousands of tourists and business travelers to Singapore, fostering greater connectivity and economic collaboration between the two nations.
