New National Operations Office Established to Oversee Performance of Ten Crucial Ministries

In a significant move, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the President’s proposal to assign the monitoring of 10 Ministries with the highest budget allocations to the National Operations Office. This decision aims to ensure efficient oversight of key ministries and institutions under their purview.

The Project Management and Supervision Department, in collaboration with line ministries, has formulated Ministerial Result Frameworks for these 10 ministries. These frameworks are designed to facilitate the timely achievement of development goals and the realization of expected benefits, aligning with each ministry’s hierarchical responsibilities.

By transferring the responsibility for achieving the goals outlined in these frameworks to the secretaries of the relevant line ministries, the government aims to foster a results-oriented institutional structure. This approach will enable better measurement of the effectiveness of investments and ensure the efficient fulfillment of the people’s needs.

With this decision, the government underscores its commitment to enhancing accountability and efficiency in public service delivery. The National Operations Office will play a pivotal role in driving performance and ensuring the effective utilization of resources across key ministries.
