Richard Pieris Group, one of Sri Lanka’s largest and most diversified conglomerates, recorded a remarkable 137% increase in Profit Before Tax (PBT), reaching Rs. 5.4 billion for the first nine months ending 31 December 2024. This substantial growth highlights the Group’s resilience and strong financial performance for the 2024/25 financial year.
The Group’s Plantations sector led the performance with a profit of Rs. 3.74 billion, marking a 52% increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the Retail sector saw a 12% growth, posting profits of Rs. 1.73 billion. Additionally, the Plastic, Furniture, and Electronics sectors experienced a significant surge of 158%, reaching Rs. 1.03 billion in profit.
