Just In Time Technologies (JITT), a prominent provider of cybersecurity solutions, and SLASSCOM Academy, a key enabler for Sri Lanka’s IT and BPM industry, recently concluded their inaugural workshop on ‘Digital Fortress Building and Operating Effective Cybersecurity Operations Centers (SOCS).’ This significant event signifies the beginning of a collaborative journey following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organizations.
Led by Neranjan Dissanayake, CEO of Just In Time Group and President of the Cloud Security Alliance Sri Lanka Chapter, the workshop was held on March 29. Neranjan, a recognized expert in cybersecurity strategy and operations with over 15 years of experience, brought invaluable insights and practical knowledge to the participants. The workshop attracted more than 35 professionals from various industries, all sharing a common interest and expertise in cybersecurity.
The sessions delved into topics such as the dynamic cyberthreat landscape, the importance of threat intelligence, the strategic architecture of Security Operations Centers (SOCs), effective incident response protocols, and more, using real-life case studies. Participants praised the workshop for its excellence, with J.C. Ekanayake, Managing Director of e-Builder, stating, “This workshop was one of the best programmes I have attended in a long time. SLASSCOM’s arrangements were well executed, and the facilitator was simply brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and had a superb delivery.”
Neranjan emphasized the holistic approach to cybersecurity advocated by JITT, highlighting the importance of skilled professionals and robust processes alongside advanced technologies.
