Sri Lanka’s rupee traded at 295.60/90 to the US dollar on Thursday, weakening from the previous close of 295.05/15 in the spot market. Bond yields also saw a decline, while some petroleum payments were covered, according to dealers.
A 190 billion rupee bond auction is set to take place later in the day. Here are the quoted bond yields:
- Bond maturing on 15.12.2026: 9.40/50 percent (down from 9.40/45 percent)
- Bond maturing on 15.10.2027: 9.75/85 percent (unchanged)
- Bond maturing on 15.02.2028: 10.10/15 percent (down from 10.10/18 percent)
- Bond maturing on 15.10.2028: 10.40/45 percent (down from 10.45/52 percent)
- Bond maturing on 01.05.2028: 10.25/30 percent (down from 10.30/33 percent)
- Bond maturing on 15.09.2029: 10.77/83 percent (steady)
- Bond maturing on 15.05.2030: 11.00/05 percent (down from 11.00/15 percent)
