Sri Lanka Police Seize Fake Casio Watches in Colombo Raid

Sri Lanka’s Colombo Crime Division (CCD) recently conducted raids on several shops, seizing stocks of counterfeit Casio watches, according to a statement from the Japan-based company’s regional representatives. The crackdown reflects Casio’s commitment to protecting consumer interests and brand integrity.

Gurmeet Singh, Head of Legal at Casio India, emphasized, “We will continue to work closely with authorities to safeguard our brand and our customers.”

The raids, targeting three locations of a prominent retail store in Sri Lanka, resulted in the confiscation of counterfeit Casio products, primarily G-SHOCK timepieces. The involved parties have been taken into custody, and fines were imposed.
