Sri Lanka’s rupee opened unchanged at 292.90/293.00 against the US dollar in the spot market, maintaining stability from the previous day. Meanwhile, bond yields remained steady, according to dealers.
The bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 9.40/50 percent, a slight decrease from 9.45/55 percent. A bond maturing on 15.10.2027 was quoted at 9.75/85 percent, while a bond maturing on 15.02.2028 saw a marginal increase, quoted at 10.10/20 percent, up from 10.10/15 percent. The bond maturing on 01.05.2028 was quoted at 10.20/30 percent, slightly down from 10.20/25 percent.
In the equities market, the All Share Price Index rose by 0.32 percent, or 46.88 points, to 14,701. The more liquid S&P SL20 gained 0.47 percent, or 20.74 points, to 4,410.
Turnover in the market was recorded at 199 million rupees.
