Sri Lanka’s rupee opened stronger against the US dollar at 296.75/90 in the spot market on Friday, compared to 296.90/297.20 on Thursday, according to dealers. In the bond market, yields also saw an increase.
The bond maturing on 15.10.2028 was quoted at 10.35/40 percent, higher than the previous 10.25/30 percent. Meanwhile, the bond maturing on 15.09.2029 saw a rise to 10.50/60 percent from 10.45/55 percent. The bond maturing on 15.10.2030 also experienced an increase, quoted at 10.60/70 percent, up from 10.30/65 percent.
