Sri Lankan Rupee Holds Steady Against US Dollar, Stock Market Dips Slightly

Sri Lanka’s rupee remained relatively stable against the US dollar on Tuesday, opening at 300.50/90, a slight change from the previous day’s 300.50/70.

Bond yields also showed little movement. There were some minor fluctuations in specific bonds, with some maturing in 2026, 2027, and 2028 experiencing slight increases, while a 2030 bond held steady.

However, the Colombo Stock Exchange took a small downturn. The All Share Price Index fell 0.06% to 12,303, and the S&P SL20 index mirrored the decline with a 0.06% drop to 3,649.
