Sri Lanka’s rupee opened steady at 298.90/299.00 against the US dollar on Thursday, according to market dealers. Bond yields saw a rise, and the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a 0.42 percent gain.
Bond Market Performance:
- Bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was quoted at 11.15/25 percent, slightly up from 11.10/25 percent.
- Bond maturing on 15.12.2027 was quoted at 12.00/20 percent, down from the previous 12.15/35 percent.
- Bond maturing on 01.07.2028 remained stable at 12.90/13.00 percent, compared to 12.90/13.05 percent the previous day.
- Bond maturing on 15.09.2029 stayed at 13.05/15 percent.
- Bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 13.20/30 percent.
Stock Market Update:
- Colombo’s All Share Price Index (ASPI) opened 45.14 points higher at 10,882.
- S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks dropped by 0.59 percent or 18.07 points to 3,063.
- Market turnover was reported at 12 million rupees.
