Sri Lankan Rupee Opens Weaker at 304.90/305.20 to USD

Sri Lanka’s rupee opened weaker at 304.90/305.20 to the US dollar on Friday, down from 304.60/80 on Thursday. Bond yields remained broadly steady, with a slight increase in equities.

Bond Yields:

  • Maturing on 15.12.2026: 10.75/85% (up from 10.70/85%)
  • Maturing on 15.02.2028: 11.80/85%
  • Maturing on 15.09.2029: 11.95/12.05%

Equities:

  • Colombo’s All Share Price Index: +33.16 points, opening at 11,959
  • S&P SL20 of more liquid stocks: +0.60%, or 21.05 points, opening at 3,526

Market turnover was 30 million rupees.
