Sri Lanka’s rupee was quoted at 295.00/50 against the US dollar in the spot market on Monday, strengthening from 295.27/30 on Friday, according to dealers. Meanwhile, bond yields saw a decline across multiple maturities.
The yield on a bond maturing on 15.12.2026 was at 8.75/80%, slightly down from 8.70/85%, while the 15.03.2028 bond yield stood at 10.03/05%, compared to 10.02/08%. The 01.07.2028 bond yield dropped to 10.18/23% from 10.20/25%, and the 15.09.2029 bond saw a slight decline to 10.73/76% from 10.73/78%.
The 15.10.2030 bond yield decreased to 11.01/03%, down from 11.05/10%. Meanwhile, the stock market rose by 0.36%, reflecting positive sentiment.
