Sri Lanka’s rupee appreciated to close at 298.15/40 against the US dollar in the spot market on Friday, strengthening from the previous day’s close of 298.65/75, according to market dealers. Meanwhile, government bond yields remained largely stable.

- The 15.12.2026 bond closed at 9.15/25%, slightly up from 9.10/20%.
- The 15.10.2027 bond settled at 9.70/85%.
- The 15.02.2028 bond ended at 10.10/20%.
- The 01.05.2028 bond remained stable at 10.25/33%.
- The 15.10.2028 bond also held steady at 10.38/45%.
- The 15.09.2029 bond eased to 10.70/85% from 10.75/85%.
- The 15.10.2030 bond increased slightly to 11.30/40% from 11.30/35%.
