Sri Lanka’s rupee strengthened on Monday, closing at 304.25/75 against the US dollar, recovering from its previous close of 305.25/306.00 on Friday, according to market dealers. Bond yields also saw a positive rally.
A bond maturing on May 1, 2027, ended at 12.70/90 percent, a drop from the previous 12.90/13.10 percent.
Similarly, a bond maturing on February 15, 2028, closed at 13.25/40 percent, down from 13.60/70 percent.
Meanwhile, a bond maturing on June 15, 2029, saw a slight rise, closing at 13.55/65 percent, up from 13.85/95 percent.
