Sysco LABS Partners with FastTrack Internship Program 2024 to Inspire Next-Gen Tech Talent

Sysco LABS has joined the 2024 FastTrack Summer Internship Program, collaborating with John Keells Holdings and Brandix to offer undergraduates a hands-on, immersive corporate experience. FastTrack, a well-regarded internship initiative, provides a four-week program aimed at helping young professionals apply academic knowledge in real-world settings across leading Sri Lankan industries.

This year, Sysco LABS contributed to the program by providing insights into the IT sector, featuring sessions on leadership skills, personal branding, and technical development. The company’s Managing Director, Rasika Karunatilake, highlighted the program’s importance, stating, “Creating innovation-focused learning opportunities for budding leaders is a primary focus area for us. With technology rapidly becoming a major export sector for Sri Lanka, we recognize how exposure to a global tech environment could influence the career choices of the FastTrack interns and cultivate a new generation of empowered leaders.”

Sysco LABS’ partnership reinforces its dedication to nurturing young talent and bolstering capacity in Sri Lanka’s IT industry. The program supports diverse career pathways that contribute to economic growth and drive industry innovation. Rehan Anthonis, Director of People Operations at Sysco LABS, emphasized the value of this collaboration, noting, “The FastTrack program was a welcome opportunity for us to provide invaluable insights into the inner workings of IT companies and support young minds on their learning journeys as they prepare to enter the workforce.”
