XpressJobs Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2026 marks the third consecutive year of the recruitment platform’s partnership with the national skills and career exhibition, strengthening its role in connecting skilled individuals with employment opportunities.
XpressJobs Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2026 returns for a third year to connect skills with jobs
XpressJobs has once again been appointed as the Official Recruitment Partner of Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2026, as the national exhibition prepares to bring together students, school leavers, skilled workers, employers, training providers and industry stakeholders in Colombo.
The partnership was formally signed at the Ministry of Education, reinforcing XpressJobs’ continued involvement in linking skills development with real employment opportunities. The signing was attended by Kavinda Dissanayake, Chairman of the Agriculture Sector Skills Council (ASSC), Brigadier Chanaka Prathapasinghe (Retd.), Head of Academics at the Agrotech Dissemination Centre, representing the Exhibition Steering Committee and ASSC, along with Tyner Fernando representing XpressJobs and Dr. Oshadie Korale, COO of XpressJobs.
Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2026 will take place from October 23 to 25 at Viharamahadevi Park and Green Path Avenue in Colombo 07. The fourth edition of the Expo will be held under the theme “Skills for Life” and is organised by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, together with the Agriculture Sector Skills Council, Industry Sector Skills Councils and the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
The event is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors and participants, creating a large national platform for discussions and activities related to skills development, education, vocational training and employment. With six strategic arenas and more than 200 spaces, the Expo is designed to bring different parts of the skills and employment ecosystem together in one location.
For XpressJobs, the partnership has a particular focus on addressing the gap between skills and employment. Through its network of more than 12,000 employers across multiple industries and sectors, the platform will help visitors identify potential career pathways and explore vacancies suited to different levels of experience and qualifications.
Opportunities available through the platform are expected to include school-leaver positions, skilled employment, internships, trainee roles and remote or hybrid jobs. This gives participants an opportunity to move beyond skills development and explore practical pathways into the labour market.
XpressJobs said its platform has facilitated more than 7 million job applications to date, highlighting the scale of its role in Sri Lanka’s digital recruitment market. The company’s participation at the Expo is therefore positioned around translating skills into potential employment outcomes and giving job seekers greater access to employers.
“We believe skills should lead somewhere. Skills Expo brings together people who are building their skills and looking for their next opportunity, while XpressJobs brings together more than 12,000 employers across different sectors who are looking for talent. Our role is to bridge that gap and help people discover where their skills can take them,” said Dr. Oshadie Korale, COO of XpressJobs.
The partnership also continues a relationship that began in 2024, when XpressJobs first participated in Sri Lanka Skills Expo as the Official Local Recruitment Partner. The company returned in 2025 and has now been appointed for a third consecutive year as Official Recruitment Partner.
The continued involvement comes as skills development and access to suitable employment remain closely connected priorities for students, young people entering the workforce and experienced workers seeking new career opportunities. By bringing employers and potential employees together, the Expo provides a direct platform for participants to learn about available career pathways while allowing businesses to engage with prospective talent.
The 2026 edition of the Expo was officially launched in July and is supported by NIBM – The City University, ESOFT, Toyota Lanka and VTA. Its broad participation is expected to create opportunities for visitors to engage with education providers, vocational institutions, employers and other organisations involved in workforce development.
With XpressJobs Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2026 combining recruitment access with a wider national skills-development platform, the partnership places employment opportunities in Sri Lanka at the centre of the Expo’s practical value for job seekers. For participants, the event offers an opportunity to understand how existing skills can translate into careers while gaining direct exposure to employers and training pathways.
