Cathay Pacific has unveiled its new winter schedule for 2024-2025, with plans to boost the frequency of return flights between Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport and Hong Kong. Starting from 2 January 2025 to 1 March 2025, the airline will operate four return flights per week, up from the current three. Additionally, from 2 March 2025 to 30 March 2025, Cathay Pacific will increase the frequency to five weekly return flights.
These flights will be operated using Airbus A330 aircraft, which feature flatbeds in Business Class, along with Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Rakesh Raicar, Regional General Manager for South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, commented, “As we continue to strengthen our network, we are excited to boost connectivity between Colombo, Hong Kong, and beyond, providing our customers with greater flexibility and choice.”
The increased frequency will not only benefit passengers but also cargo services. The additional belly capacity allows Cathay Pacific to cater to the growing demand for priority shipment solutions from Colombo. This is especially beneficial for time-sensitive shipments such as perishables, mail, and courier services, ensuring consistent and timely deliveries.
Travelers looking to continue their journey beyond Hong Kong can take advantage of seamless connections to other cities via Cathay Pacific’s extensive network.
