Dialog customers have once again demonstrated their generosity by contributing over Rs. 18 million towards Little Hearts, a project led by the Sri Lanka College of Pediatricians. This latest donation brings the total amount raised since 2016 to an impressive Rs. 140 million.
The initiative aims to establish a 12-storey cardiac and critical care complex at Lady Ridgeway Hospital, catering to children with heart diseases and critical illnesses. This substantial contribution will greatly enhance the provision of life-saving healthcare, with features including cardiac theatres, intensive care beds, and advanced cardiac investigation facilities.
In addition to Little Hearts, Dialog customers have also supported various charities such as SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka and UNICEF, with total donations in 2023 amounting to nearly Rs. 22 million. Sandra De Zoysa, Group Chief Customer Officer at Dialog Axiata PLC, expressed gratitude to customers for their continued support, emphasizing the significant impact of collective action on those in need.
Dr. Duminda Samarasinghe, Project Coordinator for Little Hearts, commended Dialog Axiata for their partnership and customers for their generosity. He highlighted the importance of initiatives like Little Hearts in providing improved healthcare facilities for children.
