NDB Bank ERP banking integration has taken a major step forward as National Development Bank PLC partners with IMPACT IT to automate business finance through direct system connectivity. The move strengthens enterprise digitisation by linking banking and ERP workflows in real time.
NDB Bank ERP banking integration streamlines payments for SMEs
National Development Bank PLC (NDB Bank) has announced a strategic partnership with IMPACT Innovations Information Technology LLC (IMPACT IT) to deliver a fully automated banking experience through direct ERP integration. The collaboration brings together NDB Bank’s secure Host-to-Host (H2H) banking solution and ENIMBUS360, IMPACT IT’s flagship enterprise resource planning platform, marking a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s digital finance landscape.
Under the partnership, ENIMBUS360 is now directly connected to NDB Bank’s core banking infrastructure, enabling approved financial transactions to be transmitted securely and in real time. Once supplier payments, payroll instructions, or other financial approvals are completed within the ERP, payment instructions are automatically sent to the bank for processing. This eliminates manual uploads, duplicate data entry, and the risk of human error, while significantly improving speed and accuracy.
The integration allows businesses to manage operational and banking activities within a single digital environment. By removing the need to switch between internal systems and online banking portals, companies gain improved visibility, transparency, and control over financial workflows. This approach supports better cash-flow management and enables finance teams to make informed decisions without delays caused by fragmented systems.
Speaking on the partnership, NDB Bank Vice President and Chief Information Officer Indika Gunawardena said the initiative aligns with the bank’s vision of simplifying and automating corporate banking. He noted that embedding NDB’s secure digital capabilities directly into clients’ daily business systems allows organisations to focus on growth while banking processes operate seamlessly in the background. According to the bank, the solution delivers both convenience and speed without compromising security.
NDB Bank Assistant Vice President for Product Lifecycle Management, Damitha Silva, highlighted the impact of the integration on Sri Lanka’s small and medium-sized enterprise sector. He stated that the collaboration enables SMEs to access enterprise-grade automation that was previously available mainly to large corporates. By directly linking accounting, payroll, and payment processes to the bank’s infrastructure, smaller businesses can improve efficiency and financial discipline while reducing operational complexity.
The solution also supports automated transaction reconciliation and real-time cash-flow monitoring within ENIMBUS360. Finance teams can track payments, match transactions, and generate accurate financial insights without manual intervention. This level of integration reduces processing time, strengthens governance, and improves audit readiness, particularly for businesses managing high transaction volumes.
From a broader perspective, the partnership reflects the growing demand for digital banking solutions that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems. As businesses increasingly adopt ERP platforms to manage sales, inventory, human resources, and finance, direct banking connectivity is becoming a critical enabler of end-to-end automation. The NDB Bank ERP banking integration responds to this need by aligning banking services with core operational workflows.
IMPACT IT Founding Director and Chief Executive Officer Shameera Prajapriya said the collaboration represents a shift in how Sri Lankan businesses interact with financial institutions. He explained that integrating NDB’s Host-to-Host technology into ENIMBUS360 creates a unified ecosystem that connects finance with other business functions. This approach enhances competitiveness, strengthens customer loyalty, and accelerates digital transformation across industries.
The partnership also underscores NDB Bank’s broader digital strategy, which focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and future-ready banking solutions. By leveraging direct system integration rather than standalone platforms, the bank positions itself as a technology-driven financial partner for both corporates and SMEs navigating an increasingly digital economy.
As Sri Lanka’s business environment continues to evolve, collaborations such as this are expected to play a critical role in improving productivity and resilience. The integration of ERP platforms with banking systems not only streamlines operations but also supports better financial planning and risk management. For businesses seeking efficiency, accuracy, and speed, the NDB Bank ERP banking integration represents a meaningful step toward fully automated financial operations.
