SLASSCOM Partners with CFA Society of Sri Lanka to Advance Financial Wellbeing

SLASSCOM, in partnership with the CFA Society of Sri Lanka, recently launched a commendable initiative aimed at bolstering financial literacy and welfare across the country. Through two informative webinars, delivered in English by the late Ravi Abeysuirya and in Sinhalese by Sidath Kalyanaratne, the collaboration attracted a notable audience of nearly 800 individuals, with 350 actively participating in the enriching sessions. This enthusiastic response underscores the community’s keen interest and recognition of the significance of financial wellbeing.

The decision to offer these webinars free of charge exemplifies SLASSCOM and the CFA Society of Sri Lanka’s dedication to benefiting society as a whole. By eliminating financial barriers, these organizations have made valuable knowledge and insights accessible to individuals from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their financial futures. During the sessions, participants delved into various topics crucial to personal financial management and prosperity, including strategies for achieving financial independence, effective planning, smart borrowing techniques, and wealth protection strategies.

Building on the success of these initial webinars, SLASSCOM and the CFA Society of Sri Lanka plan to further expand their outreach by conducting a third session in Tamil, catering to the linguistic diversity of the population. As these collaborative efforts continue to grow and evolve, they promise to play a pivotal role in fostering a financially literate and resilient society in Sri Lanka, equipping individuals with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate their financial journeys effectively.
