Concentric AI has joined the 2nd Data Privacy and Protection Summit 2026 as the Strategic Partner, reinforcing efforts to help Sri Lankan organisations strengthen cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance ahead of the enforcement of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
Concentric AI strengthens Data Privacy and Protection Summit with strategic partnership
The summit, organised by the Daily FT and CICRA, will be held on 23 July 2026 at the Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand, Colombo. It is expected to bring together data protection professionals, legal experts, technology leaders, regulators, and business decision-makers to discuss the rapidly evolving landscape of privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and regulatory compliance.
The event comes at a critical time as organisations across both the public and private sectors face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats while preparing for the implementation of Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act. With AI becoming an integral part of both cyberattacks and cyber defence strategies, industry experts believe organisations must adopt intelligent security solutions to protect sensitive information and maintain regulatory compliance.
A major highlight of this year’s summit is the participation of Concentric AI as Strategic Partner in collaboration with local technology solutions provider Orin Corporation. Concentric AI is an advanced AI-powered data security and governance platform designed to autonomously discover, classify, and protect sensitive business information across both cloud and on-premises environments. The company has rapidly emerged as a recognised provider of AI-driven data security solutions that help organisations improve visibility into their data assets while reducing security risks.
Orin Corporation, a well-established technology partner in Sri Lanka, also served as Strategic Partner for the inaugural Data Privacy and Protection Summit in 2025. Its continued collaboration with CICRA and Daily FT reflects a long-term commitment to promoting stronger cybersecurity awareness, data governance, and compliance standards within Sri Lanka’s business community.
Commenting on the partnership, CICRA Group Director and Chief Executive Officer Boshan Dayaratne said artificial intelligence has fundamentally changed the cybersecurity landscape, making AI-powered defence capabilities essential for organisations.
He noted that cybercriminals are increasingly using AI to launch sophisticated attacks, making it difficult for traditional security methods alone to provide adequate protection. As a result, businesses must also leverage AI-driven security technologies to identify threats faster, strengthen resilience, and respond effectively to evolving risks.
Dayaratne said the summit will provide valuable insights into how organisations and data controllers can prepare for PDPA compliance before regulatory enforcement begins. He encouraged business leaders, IT professionals, compliance officers, and government institutions to participate in the event to better understand emerging cybersecurity challenges and practical compliance strategies.
Orin Corporation Chief Operating Officer Rehan Ariyaratne said the company’s involvement extends beyond introducing advanced technology solutions. He explained that the partnership aims to equip Sri Lankan organisations with practical knowledge and modern tools needed to protect one of their most valuable assets—data—in an increasingly AI-driven digital environment.
According to Ariyaratne, participants attending the summit will gain practical insights into deploying AI-powered technologies to defend against AI-enabled cyber threats, reduce organisational data security risks, and better understand real-world approaches to data risk management. The sessions will also provide actionable guidance on building resilient security frameworks aligned with upcoming PDPA requirements.
The organisers emphasised that both government institutions and private sector organisations share equal responsibility for protecting citizen and customer information. With enforcement of the Personal Data Protection Act approaching, organisations are being encouraged to strengthen governance frameworks, improve data protection practices, and implement effective security controls to minimise regulatory, financial, and reputational risks.
The summit is expected to serve as an important platform for knowledge sharing, bringing together local and international expertise on privacy, cybersecurity, AI governance, and regulatory compliance. Through discussions, expert presentations, and practical case studies, participants will gain a clearer understanding of how emerging technologies such as Concentric AI can support stronger data protection while helping organisations prepare for the next phase of Sri Lanka’s digital regulatory landscape.
As cyber threats continue to evolve and compliance requirements become more stringent, the organisers believe the summit will provide timely guidance for organisations seeking to strengthen their cybersecurity posture and achieve long-term resilience through responsible adoption of AI-powered security technologies.
