Sun Siyam Pasikudah Hosts Miss Polski 2026 Finalists for Exclusive Photoshoot on Sri Lanka’s East Coast during global tourism campaign
Sun Siyam Pasikudah, part of the Privé Collection under Maldivian-owned Sun Siyam Resorts, recently welcomed the finalists of Miss Polski 2026 and their production team as part of a nationwide tourism promotion initiative organised in partnership with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB). The visit formed part of a 10-day familiarisation tour designed to showcase Sri Lanka’s cultural attractions, landscapes and hospitality to Polish audiences ahead of the pageant’s grand finale.
The delegation included 24 finalists, reigning Miss Polski 2025 Oliwia Mikulska, Miss Polski 2024 Kasandra Zawal, and a 45-member production crew. Arriving in Sri Lanka on 7 June 2026, the group travelled across several iconic destinations, beginning in Sigiriya before continuing to the island’s East Coast, with their experiences documented for extensive coverage across Polish media platforms.
During their stay, the contestants spent two nights at Sun Siyam Pasikudah, where the resort’s tranquil beachfront served as the setting for an exclusive promotional photoshoot. The campaign highlighted the area’s pristine beaches, turquoise waters and relaxed coastal atmosphere, positioning the destination as an attractive choice for international travellers and commercial productions.
The collaboration reflects broader efforts by Sri Lanka Tourism to increase the country’s visibility in key European markets by partnering with internationally recognised events and media platforms. Organisers believe such initiatives offer valuable opportunities to present lesser-known destinations to global audiences while promoting the country’s diverse tourism experiences.
Masitha De Thabrew, Deputy Director of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, said the partnership with Miss Polski was intended to spotlight destinations beyond Sri Lanka’s traditional tourism hotspots. He noted that the initiative also allowed participants to experience the country’s hospitality, cultural diversity and natural beauty first-hand, creating authentic content that could inspire future visitors.
Arshed Refai, General Manager of Sun Siyam Pasikudah, said the resort was pleased to host the finalists and production crew, adding that the visit showcased the East Coast’s growing appeal as both a leisure destination and a location for international photography and media productions. He said the region’s calm waters, scenic surroundings and warm hospitality continue to attract increasing international attention.
For Sun Siyam Pasikudah, the visit reinforced its position as a boutique luxury destination that blends refined hospitality with the natural beauty of Sri Lanka’s eastern shoreline. Located along one of Pasikudah’s most picturesque beaches, the property offers guests direct access to shallow lagoon waters, soft sandy beaches and uninterrupted views across the bay.
The resort features 34 contemporary pavilions thoughtfully designed to complement the surrounding environment while providing a high level of personalised service. Sustainability remains central to its operations, with initiatives including solar energy, water conservation and responsible waste management through recycling and composting programmes.
Guests can also experience signature offerings such as floating platform dining overlooking the Indian Ocean, creating memorable experiences that distinguish the resort within Sri Lanka’s luxury hospitality sector. These unique experiences continue to support the growth of East Coast tourism, particularly among travellers seeking quieter coastal escapes beyond the country’s more established beach destinations.
To further encourage travel, Sun Siyam Pasikudah is currently offering a seasonal promotion valid for stays until 31 October 2027. The package includes complimentary spa treatments, kayaking experiences and daily bicycle use, providing added value for visitors exploring Sri Lanka’s eastern coastline.
The visit by the Miss Polski finalists demonstrates how international collaborations can strengthen destination marketing while positioning Sri Lanka’s East Coast as an emerging hub for tourism, lifestyle photography and international media exposure. With growing global recognition and continued promotional partnerships, the region is steadily building its reputation as one of the country’s most distinctive coastal destinations.
