PureHydro Powers Maxxis Ceylon Open 2026 Finals

PureHydro powered the Maxxis Ceylon Open 2026 Padel Finals as the event’s Powered Partner, bringing its “Pure Is a Standard” campaign courtside while providing purified drinking water for players, families and spectators.

PureHydro brings hydration and water quality to Sri Lanka’s growing padel community

Organised by Padel Chief, the competitive doubles tournament was conducted over two months before concluding with a Grand Finale featuring the semi-finals and finals. The event brought together players across three divisions and nine categories, alongside families, spectators and event partners.

The partnership gave PureHydro an opportunity to connect its brand positioning with a sporting environment where hydration, wellness and active lifestyles were central to the experience. Rather than relying solely on conventional event branding, the company created a direct product experience at the venue.

As part of the activation, PureHydro installed a Hot and Cold-Water Dispenser equipped with a Reverse Osmosis water purification system courtside. The dispenser provided convenient access to purified water between matches, allowing players and visitors to experience the product while taking part in or watching the competition.

For PureHydro, the courtside activation was designed to demonstrate how the brand’s focus on water quality can translate into practical everyday experiences. The positioning also reflects the company’s broader 2026 campaign, “Pure Is a Standard”, which highlights quality, reliability and improved water standards for homes, workplaces and lifestyles.

“We did not want PureHydro to simply be a logo at the venue. By placing the PureHydro Hot and Cold-Water Dispenser courtside, we gave players, families and spectators the opportunity to experience our standard for themselves between matches,” said Rumesh Jayasekara, Senior Marketing Manager at PureHydro.

Jayasekara said padel’s combination of sport, wellness, networking, competition and premium leisure created a natural connection with the brand’s positioning. He added that these qualities align with growing expectations around the quality and reliability of drinking water used in homes and everyday lifestyles.

The partnership also highlighted the growing structure around competitive padel in Sri Lanka. According to Padel Chief, the Maxxis Ceylon Open 2026 was designed as more than a series of individual matches, with player performances contributing to official ratings and results tracked throughout the two-month competition.

Nisal Sudila, Chief Operating Officer of Padel Chief, said the tournament demonstrated what can be achieved when players, clubs and partners work together around a structured competitive platform. He noted that players reaching the Grand Finale earned their positions through the competition, contributing to the development of a more organised competitive ecosystem for padel in Sri Lanka.

The event’s format provided sponsors with an environment in which their products and services could be integrated into the sporting experience. For PureHydro, the courtside dispenser served a functional purpose while reinforcing the relationship between hydration and active lifestyles.

The sponsorship forms part of PureHydro’s wider effort to associate water quality with health-conscious and active living. Its “Pure Is a Standard” campaign seeks to communicate the importance of quality and reliability in water consumption across different aspects of daily life.

PureHydro is a water purification brand of St. Anthony’s Hydro, which operates under the St. Anthony’s Group. The group has a history of more than 80 years of serving Sri Lankan consumers and businesses, providing a foundation for the brand’s positioning around quality and customer trust.

St. Anthony’s Hydro offers a range of domestic and industrial water purification solutions. Its portfolio includes Reverse Osmosis water purifiers, filtration systems and hot and cold-water dispensers, addressing water treatment and dispensing requirements across residential and commercial environments.

The presence of PureHydro at the Maxxis Ceylon Open 2026 therefore extended beyond traditional sponsorship visibility. By providing access to purified water throughout the Grand Finale, the brand connected its products directly with the needs of participants and spectators while reinforcing its focus on water quality and hydration.

As padel continues to develop as a competitive and recreational sport in Sri Lanka, partnerships that combine sporting activity with practical consumer experiences are creating new opportunities for brands to engage with audiences. PureHydro’s involvement in the Maxxis Ceylon Open 2026 reflects this approach, linking its water purification offering with an event centred on competition, wellness and active lifestyles.
