This extension was announced by Public Service Media to allow more citizens and organizations to participate in providing assistance to Sri Lanka, which is grappling with severe flooding, destruction, and displacement caused by storm Ditwah.

By the latest count, the Maldivians with Ceylon telethon has raised MVR 11,015,854.65 and $48,681.31, amounting to around Rs. 255 million in total contributions. This significant mobilization underscores the enduring solidarity and humanitarian commitment between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
