MSI recognises top commercial PC partners at Colombo awards

Micro-Star International (MSI) hosted its annual Partner Excellence Awards in Colombo, bringing together more than 100 partners and industry stakeholders to celebrate performance, strengthen relationships, and reinforce its commercial PC strategy in the local market. The event reflects MSI’s broader push to expand its footprint in enterprise and government segments across the island.

Globally, MSI operates in over 130 countries and is widely recognised for its diverse technology portfolio, which includes PC components, notebooks, desktops, displays, and accessories. In Sri Lanka, its commercial product range is distributed by Trident Corporation, which plays a central role in delivering enterprise-grade solutions such as Cubi Mini PCs, desktops, all-in-one systems, workstations, professional monitors, and servers.

The awards ceremony saw MSI recognising top-performing partners under its commercial PC segment, presenting a total of 15 awards across Gold Partner and Strategic Partner categories. These accolades were awarded based on business performance, contribution to growth, and consistent commitment to promoting MSI’s commercial solutions in a competitive market environment.

In addition to honouring established partners, MSI also took steps to expand its channel network by awarding Authorised Partner Certificates to more than 33 system integrators. This move signals a strategic effort to deepen market penetration and ensure wider accessibility of its commercial PC offerings across Sri Lanka. By strengthening its partner ecosystem, MSI aims to enhance distribution efficiency and improve service delivery to enterprise customers.

The growth of the commercial PC segment in Sri Lanka was a key theme during the event. MSI Regional Manager for Desktops and Monitors, Kevin Chung, noted the rapid expansion of the segment, indicating strong demand from both government and corporate sectors. This growth has been supported by increasing digitalisation initiatives and the need for reliable, high-performance computing infrastructure.

MSI Country Manager Sanjaya Adipathy acknowledged the role of local partners in driving this momentum, particularly in securing government and corporate tenders. Their efforts have contributed significantly to positioning MSI as a competitive player in Sri Lanka’s enterprise technology landscape.

A major highlight of the event was the official certification of Trident Corporation as an authorised service centre for MSI’s commercial product range in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. This development is expected to strengthen after-sales support capabilities, which are critical in the enterprise segment where reliability and service responsiveness are key decision factors.

Trident Corporation has established a state-of-the-art service facility at its premises in Colombo 5, designed to deliver efficient and professional support to partners and end-users. The facility is positioned to handle servicing needs for a wide range of commercial products, ensuring minimal downtime and improved customer satisfaction.

General Manager of Trident Corporation, Hasalaka De Silva, stated that the appointment as an authorised service centre marks an important milestone for the company. He noted that the development will enhance service capabilities and support MSI’s continued expansion in Sri Lanka’s commercial PC market.

From a strategic perspective, MSI recognises top commercial PC partners as part of a broader effort to build a resilient and scalable distribution network. By investing in partner relationships, certification programmes, and service infrastructure, the company is aligning itself with the evolving needs of enterprise customers who demand both product quality and reliable support.

The event also reflects a growing trend within the technology sector, where vendor-partner collaboration is increasingly critical to market success. As organisations accelerate digital transformation, the role of system integrators and authorised partners becomes central in delivering customised solutions that meet specific operational requirements.

Looking ahead, MSI is expected to continue expanding its presence in Sri Lanka by leveraging its partner network and enhancing its commercial product portfolio. The company’s focus on recognition, capacity building, and service excellence positions it to capture further opportunities in the enterprise and public sector markets.

As MSI recognises top commercial PC partners, the initiative underscores the importance of collaboration, performance, and service quality in driving sustainable growth within Sri Lanka’s evolving technology landscape.
