Pink Eagle Holdings strengthens exports, logistics and food sector growth

The investment holding company has rapidly evolved from a single business venture into a diversified group of companies with operations and partnerships across Sri Lanka, Dubai, the United Kingdom, France, Kenya, Ethiopia, China, and Taiwan. Through a combination of strategic investments and business expansion, Pink Eagle Holdings is positioning itself as a globally competitive Sri Lankan enterprise with a growing international presence.

The group’s portfolio includes several key subsidiaries operating in sectors critical to economic growth. These include Continental Tea Ltd., Abanchy Ceylon Ltd., Continental Freight Ltd., T Co by Adra Ltd., Continental Food Products Ltd., and Pink Panda, each contributing to the group’s long-term vision of sustainable growth and international competitiveness.

Chairman and Managing Director Asitha Silva said the company’s success stems from its ability to combine Sri Lanka’s rich business heritage with a modern global outlook. According to Silva, the group’s strategy focuses on building a resilient and future-ready organisation capable of generating sustainable value while empowering individual subsidiaries to achieve growth and innovation.

He noted that the group’s mission extends beyond business expansion to include strong governance, strategic investments in high-potential industries, and the creation of synergies among subsidiaries through collaboration and resource optimisation. This approach is designed to generate long-term value while enhancing operational efficiency across the organisation.

One of the major milestones for the group in 2026 is the tenth anniversary of Continental Tea Ltd. and its flagship ADRA Ceylon brand. Over the past decade, the company has emerged as a significant player in Sri Lanka exports, supplying premium Ceylon Tea to markets across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Continental Tea Director – Tea, Indika Abeywickrama, said the company has invested significantly in warehouse infrastructure and advanced blending and packing technology to increase production capacity and improve quality standards. The company also plans to expand its portfolio of value-added tea products while strengthening the ADRA Ceylon brand in international markets.

The tea exporter continues to place sustainability at the centre of its operations, supporting plantation communities through ethical sourcing practices and long-term value creation initiatives. The company is also preparing to enter the domestic market during 2026, creating new opportunities for growth.

In the logistics sector, Abanchy Ceylon has expanded its operations into East Africa, strengthening the group’s regional presence and extending its service network across three continents. The company provides freight solutions through air, sea, and land transportation channels, supporting both local and international trade.

A significant development for the logistics sector has been the introduction of the Avanti mobile application, described as Sri Lanka’s first freight forwarding app. The platform allows businesses and individuals to manage shipment requests, track cargo in real time, receive delivery updates, and coordinate logistics activities through a single digital interface.

Further strengthening the group’s logistics capabilities is Continental Freight Ltd., a newly established company focused on building a global agency network through partnerships with international shipping lines, freight forwarders, and non-vessel operating common carriers. The venture is expected to enhance the group’s ability to support international trade and cargo movement.

The group is also expanding its presence in the food and retail industries. T Co by Adra, its premium café and lifestyle brand, plans to increase its footprint by opening outlets in five major tourist destinations across Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Continental Food Products Ltd. marks the group’s entry into large-scale food manufacturing. The company aims to meet increasing demand for affordable and high-quality food products through efficient production processes and reliable distribution networks serving both retail and institutional customers.

Digital commerce is another key growth area for the conglomerate. Through Pink Panda, the group is developing an online marketplace designed to meet the evolving needs of Sri Lankan consumers. Initially focused on food distribution, the platform plans to expand into multiple product categories, creating a broader ecosystem that offers greater convenience and accessibility.

With continued investment across diverse industries, Pink Eagle Holdings is reinforcing its ambition to become a globally recognised Sri Lankan conglomerate. Its focus on innovation, sustainability, international expansion, and value creation positions the group to play an increasingly important role in Sri Lanka exports and the country’s broader economic development in the years ahead.
